I've been inspired to start a blog because I enjoy reading and occasionally posting to the blogs of my friends Jason Zimba ( Zimblog ) and Chad Orzel ( Uncertain Principles ). This blog will also likely turn out to be a melange of different topics centering on science and education-related issues, since I also teach physics to college students.
The name of the blog is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Robb Report , a hyper-luxury magazine that I've always joked about. My family's not related to the folks who started or who currently publish the Robb Report (as far as I know). And after deciding on an academic career, it's pretty likely I won't be meeting them at dinner parties either!
So without further ado, I hope you enjoy the blog. I welcome any civil and topic-related comments or questions.
